Halfpricesoft is a profitable, bootstrapped company serving small business payroll and tax compliance for 20 years. The Founding Engineer will report to the Founder, own the technical roadmap, lead the transition from legacy systems to a modern cloud-native architecture, manage and scale a Kubernetes deployment, set hiring standards, and mentor future engineers. High ownership role with stability and upside through a Phantom Stock Plan. Tech stack includes Python (Django), React, Kubernetes, and other cloud-native technologies.
